Itinerary details

A Few Places of Interest included in our Tours

A bird's eye view of the Citadel in Gozo. The Citadel – Victoria

Perched atop a hill in Victoria is the magnificent Citadel or Iċ-Ċittadella, as it's known locally. It is an ancient medieval city that witnessed invasions, rebuilds, conquests, and sieges, ultimately withstanding the test of time. You can walk around the charming streets, enjoy panoramic views of the whole island from the bastions, admire historic landmarks like the Cathedral, and get more insights about Gozo's fascinating past by visiting museums housed within the walls of the fortress, such as the Cathedral Museum, Archaeology Museum, the Old Prison, Gran Castello Historic House and Natural Science Museum. N.B. Exploring the Citadel is free; however, you need to purchase tickets to visit on-site museums

The Ggantija temples in Gozo. Ġgantija Temples (optional)

If you're a history buff, don't miss out on visiting the Ġgantija Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Xagħra, showcasing two of the oldest free-standing structures in the world. Constructed in 3600 B.C. and 3000 B.C., these megaliths are amongst some of the most treasured archaeological ruins on the Maltese Islands.

The stunning Dwejra Bay in Gozo. Dwejra Bay

Located on Gozo's west coast, Dwejra Bay is a spectacular place where visitors can swim, snorkel, explore, and enjoy views of the Mediterranean. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and azure waters, Dwejra is home to several attractions, including the Dwejra Watchtower, Fungus Rock, the Blue Hole, an fascintaing spot that put Gozo on the map as one of the best diving destinations across the globe, and the Inland Sea; often referred to as "Il-Qawra" by Gozitans, this is a small seawater lagoon that is connected to the open sea through a tunnel.

The Xwejni salt pans at sunset in Gozo. Xwejni Salt Pans

The absolutely stunning Xwejni Salt Pans showcase Gozo's allure and charm in the best possible way. Situated in the island's northern region, past Qbajjar Bay and Reqqa Point, these rectangular limestone pans are used for local salt collection, an ancient tradition dating back to Phoenician times. If you're heading to Gozo sometime between mid-May and September, keep an eye out for the salt farmers; you might be able to see them harvesting the salt during this time of year.

Basilica of the Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu in Gozo. Ta' Pinu Sanctuary

Besides being a place of great devotion and prayer, Ta' Pinu is an architectural masterpiece in its own right. Built in the Romanesque style, the craftsmanship in the Maltese stone is certainly impressive, as well as the incredible mosaics depicting the mysteries of the rosary on the parvis.

Entrance to the bay of Xlendi in Gozo. Xlendi Beach

Once a charming fishing village, Xlendi Bay has now evolved into a popular seaside resort. You can swim, dive into the deeper waters to explore a 70-meter-long shallow tunnel cave and a scenic reef filled with incredible marine life, and also enjoy a hike along the cliffs framing the beach.

Wied il-Għasri creek in Gozo. Wied il-Għasri

A hidden gem on Gozo's north coast, Wied il-Għasri is a secluded islet featuring towering cliffs, turquoise waters, and a small pebbly beach. It's definitely one of those idyllic destinations that allow you to appreciate Gozo's natural beauty.

The Crystal Lagoon with Cominotto in the background. Comino, the Blue Lagoon, Crystal Lagoon & Caves

What's great about our tours is that all of them include a short trip around Comino on the company's private boat. When the weather is nice (even in low season), you can jump into the azure waters of the Blue Lagoon. You'll also get to see other natural wonders on the tiny island, including the lesser-known Crystal Lagoon and the beautiful sea caves.
